CALANGUTE: A large number of house and room owners giving their premises on rent to migrants and foreigners in the Calangute-Candolim area were found to have not submitted the mandatory tenant verification form during a special drive by the Calangute police over the weekend.

Around 300 rental premises within the jurisdiction of the Calangute police had not done their tenant verification. The special drive was held to check tenant verification compliance and to keep tabs on migrants staying illegally on rental basis, Calangute PI PareshNaik said.
