The Central Government has sanctioned Rs 1100 crore for the proposed six-lane Zuari bridge. The government is planning to make the new Zuari bridge, a signature bridge, with unique design features that would make it a tourist attraction. The present bridge has developed cracks and is in very bad condition and cannot sustain much traffic.
