MARGAO: Tension gripped Mobor in Cavelossim as agitated villagers stopped fish being unloaded from trawlers there and the police had to rush in to prevent law and order problem while fisheries department were summoned to take cognizance of the illegal activities undertaken.
Locals led by Aires Passanha protested against the unloading of fish and stopped it. “No permission or licence has been taken from any authority to undertake this trade,” he said arguing that the activity is totally unauthorised as the government gets no benefit from it.
