PANJIM: The Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education (GBSHSE) on Thursday announced tentative schedule for the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination, beginning from May 13.
Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Board examination of Class X, which is otherwise held in April, is scheduled in May-June this year, in a bid to allow completion of the syllabus.
As per the schedule announced by the Board, the practical examination for general subjects will be held on April 5, while for pre-vocational courses on April 19 and NSQF subjects on May 3.
The Board has announced that the examinations will be held in offline mode, across 29 centres.
The theory examination for general subjects will commence from May 17 with English language paper. The mathematics Level 1 paper will be held on May 21 and Level 2 would be answered on May 22.
On May 24, the students will answer Language Paper II- Hindi and the Language Paper III- Marathi, Konkani, Urdu, Kannada, Sanskrit, French and Portuguese will be answered on May 26.
The social science paper-History is scheduled on May 29 and Geography on May 31.
The examination will conclude on June 4, with pre-vocational subjects.
The Board has said that the COVID-19 related standard operating procedures (SOPs) would be announced in advance.
