PANJIM: After a day of hectic parleys, BJP finally pulled off the unimaginable but not before some hard bargaining. Sources reveal that the formulae reached by the BJP for alliance is 3-2-2-5.
“Goa Forward will get three ministries while MGP will be given two, besides two ministries to independents Rohan Khaunte and Govind Gawde and five ministries for the BJP,” sources said.
Sources said that the Fatorda MLA has settled for the portfolios of Town and Country Planning besides Education and Art and Culture.
“The MGP as usual has bargained for the plum portfolios of PWD and Transport while the third is yet to be decided,” sources reveal. The third MGP MLA will get a corporation, they said.
Asked to reveal the deal struck with BJP, Dhavalikar and Sardesai refused to disclose anything saying “it is yet to be decided”.
Even Parrikar refused to say anything on the matter saying “we are still working things out.”
