The Director of the Department of Urban Development, Panjim visited the Mapusa Municipal Council to assess the financial position of the Council and to inspect how the council utilised the third state finance commission. MMC Chairperson, Shubhangi Vaingankar stated that the funds are utilised for the development purpose of the town, she also added that in total, the MMC has received 11 crores for major developments such as garbage issues and minor developments such as hot mixing, building a retaining wall etc.
