The H-NEW squad of the Hyderabad police, a task force established to have zero tolerance on drugs, has rounded up key suppliers and dealers with speed and efficiency that has been alien to the Goa Police.

as well as get its own house in order and get rid of
black sheep in uniform.

If an inquiry has indeed been conducted to conclude that hoteliers in the Northern belt of Goa have received no extortion threats, then the police must reveal how it was conducted, the names of hoteliers interviewed, and forensic investigations conducted including electronic examination of devices such as phones and computers.
A cursory round of questioning, if that is the case, won’t lead to the right conclusions.
And yet again, the stage of asking for a complaint is long gone. An immediate ground-level inquiry needs to be evident and its findings presented.
