PANJIM: The water levels in four of the seven dams have dipped to below 50 per cent, the data released from the Water Resources Department (WRD) revealed on Thursday.
However, three other dams are filled with water over 50 per cent of their storage capacity.
According to the data, the reservoirs whose water levels have gone down are Selaulim, Anjunem, Amthane and Panchwadi while the ones that have more than 50 per cent of their storage capacity include Chapoli, Gaunem and Tillari.
According to WRD, the Selaulim reservoir is filled 48.7 per cent of its capacity, followed by Anjunem reservoir (38.5 per cent), Amthane reservoir (37.4 per cent) and Panchawadi reservoir (38.5 per cent).
However, the Chapoli reservoir is filled 58.3 per cent of its storage capacity, followed by Gaunem reservoir (55.9 per cent) and Tillari reservoir (94.1 per cent).
