MARGAO: Oil paint and electrical copper wire, worth Rs 40,000, was stolen from Holy Cross Chapel at Bamarod, Cotta, Chandor, on the intervening night of February 13 and 14.
Pascoal Dias, resident of Cotta, Chandor, in his complaint filed at the Maina-Curtorim police station stated that the incident took place between 6 pm on February 13 and 6.45 am on February 14.
An offence of theft under section 379 of IPC has been registered against unknown accused persons and PSI Deu Madgaonkar is investigating.
