VALPOI: Thieves looted Rs 18,900 from Gavane VKS Society (Vividha Karyakari Saunstha) at Gavane Village on Sunday.
When the staff returned on Monday they noticed the shutter lock was broken and money missing from the cupboard. The thieves did not rob any other material. The society does not lock the cupboards, nor does it have CCTV cameras or a guard. “We have requested the BoD and the Chairman to depute a security guard at the premises, both the requests were denied”, says Babuso Desai, a member.
The Valpoi police have done the panchanama and have yet to register the case.
