A theft incident was reported at the Flagship Paradise Inn Hotel in Panjim. The accused, identified as Chalapati, unlawfully entered the hotel room belonging to Nilesh Bothare and carried out the theft.
The stolen items included valuable photography equipment, namely a digital mirrorless camera, four camera batteries, a 128 GB CF Express card, a card reader, four camera lenses, a flashlight, a camera flash with cells, a camera battery charger, and a flash battery charger. The estimated value of the stolen items is Rs. 8,25,000.
Upon committing the theft, the accused managed to escape. However, Chalapati was apprehended and later arrested for his alleged involvement in the incident.
