Thief decamps with valuables worth Rs 3.6 lakh on train

MARGAO: An unidentified individual executed a theft on the Tirunelvelli Hapa Express train in Margao, making off with gold ornaments and other valuables worth approximately Rs 3,60,000. The victim, Vivekanand Chellappan Pillai Nair, 63, reported the incident to the Konkan Railway Police.

According to Nairs complaint, the stolen items include a mobile phone, several gold ornaments including chains, bangles and earrings, two ATM cards and other identity cards. The theft occurred when the train, en route from Kollam, Kerala, to Vapi, Valsad, Gujarat, reached Madgaon Railway Station. The case was registered under Section 379 of the IPC.
