cuncolim: Unknown persons broke into three temples at Talwada, Cuncolim and Veroda and decamped with cash and other valuables by breaking open the donation boxes.
The incident came to light when the caretaker Ganesh Talwadkar had gone to clean the temple early Thursday morning.
He then called the committee member Mahesh Gaonkar, who lodged a complaint with the Cuncolim Police Station.
Gaonkar informed media persons that they do not know the exact amount in the donation box.
Cuncolim Police conducted the panchanama and are investigating the case.
