BICHOLIM: Bicholim police have registered an offence against unknown persons for stealing gold ornaments and cash worth Rs 1.80 lakh from a house belonging to Gautami Chimulkar at Bagwada-Assonora on Friday.
According to Bicholim police, the thieves affected entry into the house between 8.45 pm to 2.30 am by breaking the main door. They decamped with a pair of gold bangles, a pair of mangalsutra, three rings, a set of gold earrings, a gold necklace, four gold chains, and a nose pin worth a total of Rs 1.5 lakh and cash of Rs 30,000.
Police have registered offences under Sections 454 and 380 of IPC. PSI Gaurish Parab is investigating the case.
