MARGAO: Urging the Government to stop troubling the minorities in the state, Nuvem MLA Mickky Pacheco has urged the minority MLAs to think before taking the support of BJP in the upcoming 2017 Assembly elections.
Expressing sadness over the Income-Tax notice to the Archdiocese to declare requisite information on the income of the Churches in Goa, Pacheco claimed that the Government has troubled the minorities and has put strictures on them to withdraw their own money.
“The Government and its leaders are the people, who have monies stashed abroad and the people who need money on daily basis are being troubled today,” Mickky alleged.
“I had earned money abroad and brought it in India legally and for that my accounts have been frozen for five years. But the Government is not speaking about the people, who have stashed money abroad,” he charged.
He cautioned the Catholic candidates saying that they need to think 10 times before taking support of the BJP and for staying with the Government.
Mickky has urged the minority Catholic MLAs and ministers to clear their stand against BJP or else the people will.
“Why do we (minorities) have to take the trouble? We are being troubled vindictively. Why are other religions not asked about their accounts? Mickky questioned.
