MARGAO: The cross-examination of the third prosecution witness in the Deepali Metha murder case commenced on Tuesday before the Additional Sessions Judge Saynora Telles Laad.
In her deposition, Deepali’s sister Roopali revealed that the accused Vijendra Arondekar had come to their house once with a proposal to marry Deepali. However, her grandmother asked him to first build a career and then come with the proposal.
She said that she got a message from the mobile of the accused that Deepali would be found at Cabo de Rama and that he was committing suicide at Canacona following which she along with her mother and grandmother went to the Canacona police station to lodge a missing complaint. After the complaint was lodged.
