FATORDA: “I’m very happy with the three points, but this is not the end of it, these three points are just a journey in the tournament,” said FC Goa coach Sergio Lobera at the post-match conference.
“We have to work harder especially because we let 10-men to come from behind and level scores. This happened to us in Chennai as well, we need to work on the game,” Sergio added.
The fans gave an astonishing welcome to the Gaurs on their first game at home.
“I think the fans have enjoyed the game with the seven goal thriller, but we as a team suffered since we went down and had to fight again to win,” Sergio said.
The coach wasn’t all praise for Coro as he believes in team performance, “We all know that Coro is a fine player, the credit goes to the entire team, I don’t highlight individual performances, as I said earlier, we win as a team and lose a team,” Sergio concluded.
Sergio’s counterpart Albert Roca said that he expected it to be an thrilling encounter but appeared disappointed with a couple of mistakes by his team.
“I didn’t expect this kind of game for sure, but it happens in football. Fortunately, it was good for as us we came back after the first half.”
“The red card was a right decision, I think it was a shame because Manuel provoked that kind of action, but however my goalkeeper cannot react like this. The goalkeeper is young he has to control his anger, he put us in big trouble today. I don’t want to blame him alone but we made a lot of mistakes and we were punished for it,” Roca added.
