PANJIM: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Thursday said that the police are cracking down on drug peddlers and night parties in the State to eliminate narcotic trade from the coastal State.
Addressing mediapersons, Sawant said that action is also been initiated against those consuming drugs.
“We have been cracking down on drug peddlers as well as night parties. Many raids have taken place in the last few days. Arrests are made under NDPS Act,” he said.
“We will also arrest those consuming drugs,” he added.
Sawant said that the government policy is very clear that no drug-related activities will be tolerated in the State.
