MARGAO: PWD water supply pipeline that runs parallel to the South Goa District Hospital (SGDH) burst on Saturday and a huge amount of water was flowing onto the roads and low-lying fields in the vicinity.
Locals criticised the government for this development at a time when water levels are reducing and there are various places that are receiving restricted water supply. Water was seen flowing out for hours on Saturday, and residents called it a ‘criminal waste’..
Given that PWD has presently diverted traffic opposite SGDH in Fatorda due to the ongoing sewerage works, locals were already upset as it is due to the inconvenience they face on a daily basis at this area.
