PONDA: With a dream to join the Indian army thousands of youths from across India have arrived for army recruitment rally at Ponda which will commence on Monday and continue till February 7.
NGO, People of Ponda (PoP), in co-ordination with the Goa government and the Army made arrangements for the future jawans at the sports complex in Curti. Pondaites were happy over the NGO work to help the recruits, said a source.
“Around 6000 to 8000 youths across India have arrived in Ponda and we are happy to have made arrangements for their stay during the Army recruitment drive at Curti,” said Pramod Sawant of PoP.
