Goa Police on late Monday evening managed to arrest three persons in connection with the assault on a doctor at a private hospital.
The police arrested Three men, Rohish Salgaonkar (27), Krishna Savlo Naik (32) and Rohil Salgaonkar (32) all living in Porvorim area were arrested under stringent Goa Medicare Act, 2013. They were arrested hours after the protests by Indian Medical Association’s Goa unit. Police spokesman said that three persons were arrested while the main accused is still at large.
The family members of a patient, on last Friday, had assaulted a private doctor at Porvorim after which the police complaint was lodged against the accused.
IMA member held a massive protest on Monday evening outside Porvorim Police station as police had made no arrests despite FIR being filed against the accused.
On Friday, 27 August in Porvorim Dr Amol Tilve was physically attacked by a man named Minesh Narvekar.
