CANACONA: Three cases of attempt to murder within a span of 13 days this month in the villages of South Goa, people have express concern. These three attempts to commit murder cases were registered respectively by Canacona Police Station, Maina-Curtorim Police Station and Margao police station. All three accused in attempt to murder cases have been arrested. In three out of two cases, attempts were made to kill two women, who have been hospitalized while in one case a minor boy was thrown in the well by his uncle with intention to kill him.
All three accused are in judicial custody on remand and are from outside Goa.
An attempt to murder of wife by her husband was reported in Bhatpal, Canacona on June 6 where accused Shahazad Khan (27), a native of Uttar Pradesh was arrested for making an attempt to kill his wife Rima Chaudhary (25) with a knife.
Aanother case of attempting to commit murder of a women was reported where victim Reshma Naik (34) of Guirdolim, Chandor, native of Karnataka was stabbed with a knife by accused Ashok Tamburi (30) years of Guirdolim Chandor, Salcete.
In a shocking incident 45 year-old-person resident of Moti Dongor took 14-year-old student on his scooter on May 31 to an isolated place in Curtorim on the pretext of plucking mangoes and later made an attempt to murder him by throwing him in a well having depth of 35 meters
