PANJIM: Panjim Police on Monday arrested one more suspected bike thief named Youraj.
On Sunday, police had arrested three suspected thief namely Vignesh, Verdav and Tushar Usgaonkar, all residents of Chimbel and between aged 19 and 25 years. “There were total six thieves, four have been arrested and two are absconding. Police are searching for the main culprit Jalvish, “Panjim PI Sudesh Naik informed.
He said those arrested are very close to Jelvish. Tushar has a garage and they used to dismantle the parts of stolen bikes there.
They used to rob Splendor and Deo bikes. This suspected group was arrested from the KTC bus stand and were interrogated. Police recovered chassis of bikes which were identified by one of the complaint. All those arrested have applied for anticipatory bail.
