MARGAO: The Maina-Curtorim police have filed an offence against three individuals in connection with an incident involving the assault, abuse, and outrage of a woman’s modesty.
The police stated that, based on the woman’s complaint, they have registered an offense under Sections 323 (causing hurt), 354
(outraging modesty), 509 (insulting modesty), and 506(II) read with 34 of the IPC. According to the complaint filed at Girnikade in Loutolim, the accused, identified as Royson Fernandes, Jowayne, and Jesroy (full name not known), had outraged the woman’s modesty by assaulting her, threatening her with dire consequences, and further subjecting her to verbal abuse with
obscene language without any apparent cause.
Police said that based on the complaint, an offence has been registered and further investigation is in progress. PSI Praful Giri is investigating the case .
