Three booked for wrongful detention, absconding

PANJIM, DEC 20 Three persons are absconding after the Panjim police today booked them for illegally detaining a senior citizen in a toilet, late on Sunday night.

Three persons are absconding after the Panjim police today booked them for illegally detaining a senior citizen in a toilet, late on Sunday night.
The trio, identified as Paulo, Badshah and Suraj (full names not known) are booked under sections 504 (threatening), 342 (wrongful confinement), 336 (act endangering life or personal safety of others), 427 (mischief causing damages) and 34 (common intention) of IPC.
Pritesh Naik, resident of Mala lodged a complaint with the Panjim police that the three men threatened and detained his father Nagesh in a Sulabh Sauchalaya at Mala.
“The accused first threatened Nagesh and locked him inside the toilet. They later burnt few sacks and threw it inside. But the victim escaped,” police sub-inspector Ramnatkar said.
Police suspect a case of personal enmity even as they are carrying out a search to nab the absconders.
