PANJIM: Three popular choreographers from the Bollywood industry are caught violating the traffic norms in Goa after they posted videos “enjoying” two-wheeler ride on cable-stayed Atal Setu on social media. The videos were soon withdrawn after facing heavy backlash from social media users in Goa, who demanded that State Police should take immediate action against the violating tourists.
“The rains and the ride… #goa is amazing isn’t it @mohanshakti,” a dance reality winner and choreographer Salman Khan posted a note on his Instagram with a 34 second video that shows him riding a two-wheeler during the late hours on Atal Setu. Shakti Mohan, also a choreographer as a pillion rider. None of the two are also seen wearing face masks, which is mandatory by the government to curb the spread of rising COVID-19 cases across the country.
In another video, Remo D’Souza is also seen breaking the rules by riding a two-wheeler on the third Mandovi Bridge.
The videos have gone viral with people demanding action against the traffic violators. The Traffic Department is yet to take action against them with a senior officer claiming they are inquiring into the videos, which are now deleted from the social media account of the violators.
The Goa Police had last year issued guidelines banning plying of two and three-wheelers on Atal Setu. It has also banned motorists from stopping their vehicles on the bridge or anyone walking on it.
