Three cars broken into at Ponda

PONDA: A college farewell party took an unexpected turn when miscreants damaged three cars belonging to students of Goa Engineering College, including one that belongs to the son of a former MLA, while also decamping with a laptop and one camera, worth Rs 45,000.

PONDA: A college farewell party took an unexpected turn when miscreants damaged three cars belonging to students of Goa Engineering College, including one that belongs to the son of a former MLA, while also decamping with a laptop and one camera, worth Rs 45,000.
Dinraj Poi Khot, son of former MLA Vijay Poi Khot, along with his father and other students have lodged a police complaint in this connection.
According to Ponda DySP Dinraj Govekar, some final year students of Goa Engineering College had arranged a farewell party at a farm in Khandepar-Usgao on Wednesday night. The students had parked their cars in the farm premises, while they were at the party. 
A few hours later, they found that the window glasses of three cars were smashed, while a laptop worth Rs 35,000 and a camera valued at Rs 10,000 were stolen from the cars.
Acting on the complaint, Ponda Police registered an offence against unknown persons and is investigating.
