MARGAO: The antibody cocktail was administered to three COVID patients at the South Goa District Hospital, Margao.
It may be recalled that the first antibody cocktail to a COVID positive patient was administered at Horizon Hospital at Margao and another was given at the North Goa District Hospital.
“All the three patients are under close observation and are doing well”, said Dr Rajesh Patel, South Goa District Hospital’s Nodal Officer.
He said, “The antibody cocktail should be administered to patients above 45 years with comorbidities such as diabetes mellitus, chronic kidney disease, ischemic heart disease, an immunocompromised state who are at high risk of developing severe COVID 19 infections.”
Meanwhile, as of June 15, a total of 139 COVID positive patients have been admitted in SGDH and nearly 429 beds are vacant.
