MAPUSA: To ensure the reliability and safety of the electricity infrastructure, the Electricity Department has announced a three day power shutdown in different regions in different parts of Bardez. The shutdown is due to urgent maintenance work, construction works and tree-cutting work in the mentioned areas.
The shutdown will happen from April 12 till April 14. The details of the power shutdown are as follows:
April 12, at Madel, Tivim, between 9 am and 2pm for maintenance of 11KV Industry OH feeder; April 12 at Colvale Housing Board, between 3 pm and 6 pm for maintenance of 11KV Industry OH feeder and on April 13 at Tivim, the shutdown will occur from 9 am to 2pm for the maintenance of 11KV Tivim village feeder.
On April 14, the power shut down has been scheduled at Colvale IDC, Patto, from 9 am to 2 pm for the maintenance of 11KV Power Grid Feeder
The areas which will be affected due to the power shut down are Faz Colony, Duglas, Savrak, Ganpati Temple, Madel, Tivim Housing Board, Dhamade, Chaitanya Hospital and the surrounding area. Colvale Housing Board and surrounding area. Omkar Colony, Lala Colony, Gawai, Major Bakery. Dhamade, Sai Colony, Chichan. Colvale IDC, Patto, Nursing Institute Vrundavan and surrounding areas.
