Three held for assault
PORVORIM (HC): Mapusa police on Thursday arrested three persons from Colvale on charges of assaulting one person.
In his complaint, Gurudas Khorjuvenkar told Mapusa police that Devdatta Chodankar, Namdev Chodankar and Anil Chodancar stopped and assaulted him, while he was proceeding towards his residence at Colvale.
Mapusa police arrested the trio under Sections 452, 341, 504 and 323 of IPC. Mapusa Court rejected their bail application and they will now be taken for remand on Friday. Head Constable Santosh Bandodkar is investigating the case.
