MARGAO: Margao Town Police arrested three youngsters for snatching a chain and robbing cash from a woman at Gandhi Market on July 23 at 6 am.
The trio caught are 20-year-old Salim Badami, originally from Karnataka but presently living at Margao; 19-year-old Ravi Harikanth originally from Karwar, but presently living at Zuarinagar; and 19-year-old Parshuram Marbutti also from Karnataka presently living in Comba Margao.
Fruit cum vegetable vendor Milagres Barbosa complained that the trio pushed her when she had gone to Gandhi market at around 6 am to purchase fruits and vegetables to sell. The trio then snatched the gold chain from her neck and also robbed Rs 1350 from her.
The trio then fled from the scene on a red Activa scooter and the woman noted down the number of the vehicle and accordingly lodged a complaint.
