MARGAO: The Konkan Railway Police arrested three persons who were involved in a robbery of atleast 23 mobile phones worth over Rs 5 lakh.
The arrested are Mukesh Bhagwandas Singh, aged 25; Mazhar Mohmmad Ahmed, aged 33 years and Nizam Babu Khan, aged 32 years, all from Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh. The alleged accused had robbed the phones from the revellers, enjoying Christmas and New Year, at Baga, the tourism hotspot of the State.
They were arrested at the Margao Railway Station as they attempted to flee the State with the stolen phones via train.
