MARGAO: Maina-Curtorim on December 25 arrested three persons, Sandeep Sakharam Karat, 24 and Bala Sawant, 41 both from Sindhudurga, Maharastra and Pumeshwar Nolim Kali, 33, Assam for offences committed under Section 381 (theft by clerk or servant of property in possession of master) read with 34 and 511 of IPC.
They were produced before Judicial Magistrate First Class, Margao who remanded them one day in police custody, on Thursday.
According to police, Nischad Salam, manager of Lokmat Media Private Limited, resident of Pune filed a complaint to the effect that on December 25 between 1.15 pm at a godown CMM Logistic Private Limited, IDC Verna the accused persons with common intention attempted to commit theft of scrap aluminum plates, old news paper bundles, waste papers, etc all worth Rs 90,000. Police have also attached the vehicle used by the accused persons.
