Three held in Bicholim murder

BICHOLIM: Bicholim police on Monday arrested three persons in connections with murder of a 30-year-old labour contractor from West Bengal.

It may be recalled that body of labour contractor, Jamedar Rehman, native of West Bengal but presently residing at Sanquelim in Bicholim taluka was found cut in three pieces in the bushes at one of the isolated areas near Mohit Ispat factory at Navelim-Bicholim.

The police arrested three persons including Chandmia Abdul Jabbar, Mishan Maziboor Rehaman and Sanjay K Paswan. As per the information Jabbar, who was one of the accused and the cousin of the deceased had himself filed a missing complaint with the police station.

Jabbar had told that his cousin went missing when he had gone to deposit money in a nationalised bank in Sanquelim. After through interrogation of the three accused by the police it was revealed that the theory of handing over the money to the deceased by the accused was false. 

The police also conducted search operation of the room and blood stains were found on the wall. The police have stated that the reason behind the murder was some family dispute.

Later, one of the accused confessed of the crime and all the three were arrested. 

The team including Bicholim Police Inspector Sanjay Dalvi; Valpoi Police Inspector Sagar Ekoskar; Deputy Superintendent of Police Gajanaj Prabhudesai under the guidance of Superintendent of Police Shobita Saksena and Utkrishta Prasoon cracked the case.
