PONDA: Three persons were injured after a wall came crashing down on them at Malwada-Usgao on Friday afternoon.
According to Ponda Police, Indra Mani (26), Ramnaresh Choudhary (23) and Sunil Chaudhary (24) were fast asleep in their rented premises when the wall collapsed. Indra and Ramnaresh were rushed to Ponda Sub District Hospital, while Sunil was referred to GMC Hospital.
According to information, all the three injured persons were working in an industrial unit at Usgao and were asleep in the room as they were working on the night shift.
Though the exact reason is not known, it is however suspected that heavy rains had weakened the foundation of the wall resulting in its collapse.
The police are investigating the exact cause of the wall collapse while the injured are recovering.
