Smarting under bad publicity over a ragging incident last week, a three-member committee of the Goa Medical College and Hospital in Bambolim will probe into what exactly happened at the Boys Hostel in room No 10.
Nine senior MBBS students were expelled from the hostel after they were caught ragging seven of their juniors. “We will have a committee of three senior professors who will probe the incident and report back to the anti-ragging committee”, said Dr V N Jindal, Dean, GMC.
Jindal said the committee was formed today and it has been asked to submit the report on the incident in the next seven days.
The ragging incident came to light after a senior professor was on the rounds of the hostel. He sounded the dean after which the students were expelled from the hostel and later arrested by the Agassaim police.
