CALANGUTE: The past two days, the Calangute police rescued three minors who were moving around on the beaches and lodged them at the protective home at Merces.
The minors were found without any guardian and hence were vulnerable to abuse. Efforts are being made to trace the parents of these minor children.
To keep the beaches free from child abuse, the Calangute police have started a drive to watch out for minor children moving on the beaches alone. Calangute PI Jivba Dalvi informed that such drives would be held from time to time.
