PANJIM: The Education Department has shortlisted three premises, to relocate the Government Primary School, Taleigao whose roof collapsed Monday evening, and stated that the school would be shifted within three days.
Speaking to Herald, Deputy Director of Education, Anil Powar said that officials have been sent to identify other locations within a one kilometre radius and study the feasibility of shifting the school to these locations and a final decision would be taken after the officials report back.
“Within two to three days the school will be shifted,” Powar said.
On Monday the roof of the government primary school in Camara Bhatt, Taleigao, collapsed, fortunately after school, and hence there were no casualties.
Following the incident the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation has decided renovate many dilapidated government primary schools.
