In her deposition, Suganda stated that she along with her husband owned Novelty Stores situated at Porebhat in Mapusa. While she denied selling tickets for India-Australia ODI held on April 6, 2001 at Jawaharlal Nehru stadium at Fatorda, she stated that Ramashankar Das, then treasurer of Goa Cricket Association (GCA) had given 33 tickets of Rs 1,000 each to her husband Eknath for selling. When questioned by the Special Public Prosecutor (SPP) Vinay Borkar if any other person sold tickets at her shop she stated that some people might have sold tickets outside the shop. She also deposed that some customer Michael Pinto had been phoning her to sell ticket which she declined. The witness also denied having made a statement to police and SPP prayed that the witnessed be declared hostile.
