A resident of Charawane-Sattari spotted a tigress and a cub at Charawane in the wee hours of Sunday.
According to the resident, who is also a mini bus driver, he had gone to Chorla to attend marriage ceremony of his friend. “While I was returning home on my motorcycle in the wee hours of Sunday, I spotted the tigress and a cub while they were entering the forest area,” said the resident, who does not want to be identified.
It may be recalled that recently, forest official from Ponda, Subhash Henrick had reported footprints of tigress and a cub in Kelawade village of Anjune dam area. Similarly, the excreta and footprints of a tiger were also reported at Derawad.
which comes under Valpoi forest area. Both the reports were sent to Dehradun Wildlife Sanctuary.
