Tips for a “paw-fect” Father’s Day

Every pet parent will go the extra mile in taking care of their
fur babies, so why not recognise and acknowledge every kind of father,
including ‘Pet-fathers’ this Father’s Day.

Here are a few ways you and your fur-baby can celebrate Father’s
Day:

Spending some quality time at home.

Have you noticed how your fur babies look at you every time you walk out the door? And how happy they get when you come
back home? This Father’s Day take the opportunity to spend some one-on-one
quality time. Snuggle up on the couch or play an energising game.

Take them for a drive

Lots of dogs and even cats love car
rides. Make a day of it by planning a day at the beach or the park. There are many restaurants and cafes
that are now pet-friendly, so this too could be an option. Relax with a warm
plate of soul food for yourself and treats for your fur baby.

Volunteer at an animal shelter

If you don’t have a pet why not dedicate the
day to doing some good. Many local animal shelters encourage people to
volunteer. Every extra hand makes a big difference, and your time and
assistance will surely be appreciated by the shelter staff and the animals. Not
only will you be helping but it will surely make you feel wonderful, and who
doesn’t want that?

Adopt a pet

Adopt, don’t shop. There are many
animals in need of a forever home. This would be the perfect time to take the
leap and adopt a pet. Remember that it is a life-long commitment, but you can
be sure that the love and attention you receive will be unconditional.
