PONDA: The market at Tisk-Usgao is currently always surrounded by crowd as well as inconveniences.
The locals and shopkeepers have frequently complained about the sad state of the PDA market. Also, the area lacks a bus stand, which is a major inconvenience to the passengers.
The private and government buses from Karnataka pass via this stop. The intra-State buses from Mollem, Savordem, Sanquelim, Valpoi, Sacorda, Dabal, Ponda, Panjim and Margao also stop at this junction, which leads to congestion especially during the morning, afternoon and evening hours.
Since there is no bus stand, the passengers have to wait under the sheds of nearby shops to avoid sun and rain.
Locals have expressed disappointment over the bus stands erected at various places, which are hardly used but not at Tisk, which is a crowded place.
“The people visiting the market have to be extra careful since there is no control over parking either,” said Suraj Garad, a local.
