Tivim RPF hands over cash heavy bag to passenger

MARGAO: Tivim Railway Protection Force on Tuesday handed over bag of a passenger containing Rs 1 lakh cash and an Apple laptop, which he left behind at Tivim Raiway Station. 

According to a press release issued here, on September 21, during a routine round at platform number 2 of Tivim Station, one unclaimed bag was noticed by Constable Narayan Ram, which was secured by him.

The bag was brought to Railway Protection Force out post Tivim and after proper verification, the passenger who had left his bag, was informed over the phone.

Later, passenger Aditya Bhandari of Shrimali Society Navrangpura, Ahmedabad-Gujarat, approached the Railway Protection Force (RPF) out post Tivim.

On enquiry, Bhandari revealed that he had travelled by Train No 06337 in B1 coach from Ahmedabad to Tivim with his friends and in a hurry left his bag at Tivim Railway Station. The secured bag was shown to him and after identification was found correct. The total value is Rs 2 lakh (cash Rs 1 lakh, one laptop Apple make and three hard discs). After completing all the formalities the bag was handed over to the said passenger, who expressed gratitude and appreciated railway protection force for excellent work.
