PANJIM: Calangute panchayat member and Trinamool Congress Party (TMC) candidate Anthony Menezes is likely to quit the party on Tuesday.
Menezes had joined the Goa TMC ahead of 2022 Assembly elections. He will be the TMC’s sixth candidate from Bardez taluka to resign from the party.
Meanwhile, TMC is likely to declare its ad hoc committee on Saturday as Rajya Sabha MP Derek O’Brien is arriving in Goa on Friday.
The party has already dissolved its State executive committee while its president Kiran Kandolkar has also resigned from primary membership of the party.
The TMC has decided to appoint sincere and dedicated members as office-bearers of the ad hoc committee.
