PANJIM: Goa Trinamool Congress (TMC) launched a digital campaign taking a jibe at Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant’s complain, on Saturday, that media didn’t thank him or Prime Minister Narendra Modi for slashing fuel prices. He had said, ‘You did not congratulate me. Petrol price has been reduced by Rs 12 and diesel prices by Rs 17. You should have congratulated me and Modi Ji.’
Goa TMC, in order to give a befitting reply to the CM, published a photo on AITC Goa twitter handle, where a child is seen holding a poster and standing in front of huge garbage dump with cattle feeding on the garbage. The poster reads, “Thank you CM Pramod ji for ensuring a clean and healthy childhood…. Another photo shows a youth standing in front of a pothole, with a poster which read, “Thank you CM Pramod ji for destroying road and for potholes, jobs, women’s safety, economy and education.”
Goans from across 40 Assembly Constituencies were also seen holding placards to highlight their plight. “From law and order, unemployment, corruption, potholes, or complete destruction of the economy, Goans are making sure that Chief Minister Sawant gets his due and is recognised as the chief minister, who destroyed the state completely,” said TMC.
A third photo shows a young woman holding a poster which reads, “Thank you Pramod Sawant for not protecting us (women).”
“A hard-hitting response from Goans to Shri @DrPramodSawant’s audacious demand asking the people to congratulate him on fuel price cuts,” said @AITC4Goa taking to the Twitter.
@AITC4Goa further tweets, “The countdown for @BJP4Goa’s anti-people govt has begun and it will be shown the EXIT DOOR very soon!”
