PANJIM: Paying tributes to the freedom fighters, who sacrificed their lives for Goa’s freedom, TMC on Sunday proclaimed the need for second liberation for the State.
Paying homage to freedom fighters, Rajya Sabha MP & AITC National Vice-President Luizinho Faleiro urged the people to remember sacrifices of freedom fighters and vote wisely in the upcoming elections to rid the state of the tyranny of the current BJP government.
He said, “Goa today urgently needs a second liberation – liberation from corruption, liberation from this misrule and tyranny of the BJP government.”
Bearing in mind the glorious history of the State, AITC State in-charge Mahua Moitra asserted, “The BJP disrespected the people’s mandate and took a backdoor entry. It is time we liberate Goa once again, this time from the BJP. And we must do it with full force.”
At the same event, social worker and legal activist Seoula Vas pledged her allegiance to the Goa TMC. Goa TMC leaders Kiran Kandolkar, N Shivdas, Francis de Tuem and Swati Kerkar were also present.
