PANJIM: Goa Trinamool Congress (TMC) takes pride in the remarkable success of the Yuva Shakti Card in Goa. In the first 36 hours alone, over 15,000 youth registered for the scheme. Under this initiative, anyone in the age group of 18-45 years can avail collateral-free credit facility of up to Rs 20 lakh at a minimal interest rate of 4%.
The card was launched on Monday by the TMC-MGP alliance to empower youth from the ages of 18 to 45 by having steady and confirmed state-guaranteed funding through a bank for higher education, skill development through professional courses, and starting and upgrading businesses.
According to the TMC, the card helps youth become wealth creators. They in turn give jobs to run their businesses.
The credit line will be from a bank that will have the government’s guarantee to secure the credit to them without collaterals.
