MARGAO: Caught on the wrong foot on government circular on conversion sanads, which permits developments, the South Goa Planning and Development Authority on Tuesday decided to publicise the same.
PDA Chairman Rajan Naik said the Tuesday meeting of the Authority has instructed the member secretary to publicise the circular for the benefit of the people immediately.
PDA member Digambar Kamat said the PDA has told its member secretary to place an advertisement in the newspapers informing members of the public to apply for development permissions without conversion sanads. “The public will be free to apply for development permissions without conversion sanads upto October 31,” Kamat said.
When it was pointed out that much time has been lost since the government issued the circular last month, Kamat said the CTP should have advertised the September circular for the benefit of the people. He, however, said that people can still apply for development permission before October 31 before the previous circular mandating conversion sanads before undertaking constructions comes into force from November 1.
