PANJIM: A two-year-old boy was injured after being hit by a four-wheeler at Corlim on Tuesday. According to police, the accident occurred at around 10.35 am at near Government Primary School, Mandago PDA Colony, when the boy had accompanied his mother to the shops.
The toddler, identified as Satvik Shivaji Gungi, was first rushed to Dhulapkar Hospital, Corlim, by a private vehicle. He was then referred to Goa Medical College, Bambolim. The parents of the boy hail from Karwar, Karnataka.
Mallikarjun Ashok Miragi, 23, a resident of Corlim, was taken into custody for driving in a rash and negligent manner and the mini truck was seized.
