Total vacant beds in COVID Centres across both districts rise to 977

Six more COVID deaths, 321 new cases reported

PANJIM: Six COVID-19 patients died in the last 24 hours while 321 new positive cases were reported in the last 24 hours. Five of the total deaths of patients aged above 55 years and below 75 years were reported at Goa Medical College and Hospital; while a 71-year-old died at a private hospital, as per the daily bulletin of the Health Department. 

The Bulletin also indicates 321 new cases and 449 recoveries in the past 24 hours. This takes the total number of Confirmed cases to 40,091 while the total number of Active Cases decline to 3,950. The total number of recovered cases is now 35,610. With six more deaths reported, the cumulative figures of deaths in the State stand at 531 whereas the recovery rate has also improved at 88.82 per cent. 

Each of the North and South COVID-19 Care Centres combined has 241 and 736 vacant beds as against the total capacity of 469 and 1006 respectively.
